Yea, looks like a Camry, they are even putting some stylish wheels on them. I bet you get all the bitches with that high end ride.

i was working at a hyundai dealership a year ago. they were eagerly awaiting the genesis. although really WTF do they need a 40k 15mpg car for?

as to quality, they are ok. it seems like hyundai looked to mercedes for design inspiration, so compared to mazda, the hyundai is complex.

for example, in the V6 cars the water pump is behind the timing cover, which is one peice and aluminum. so when it starts leaking, the weep hole follows this channel and comes out by the alternator. this is NOT in the shop manual. removal of the timing cover, requires the valve covers to come off and on the sonata, the engine nearly has to come out of the car.

and trying to find a mechanic that knows ANY of that stuff is impossible.

so the cars would come back over and over while we threw parts at it.

that job sucked!

I'd need proof that an "out of warranty" hyundai exists, if it does they should put it in the Korean museum.

My sister bought a new one in 2004 sold it in 2006. She blew the head and had to have it replaced before she sold it though.

OH ****, I be she "drove" it right? That's against the manufacturer recommended product use.

guy who used to work with me comes in one day in a taxi. I ask him where his car is- he tells me his baby momma has it today because her car broke down.

Her Hyundai was like 2 years old, had 14k miles on it. Turns out it needs alternator or thermostat or some crap, I forget.

So he is on the phone with the dealership and they tell him the car is running rough because it needs spark plugs?

A 2 year old car needs spark plugs I ask him? I say maybe it has something to do with the thermostat not being right and the car running rich because I cant see a car needing plugs in so few miles, but regardless I dont offer any other help because I know I will end up being married to this piece of crap car if I offer to change the plugs for him.

Anyhow- he comes in the next day bitching about the bill because the car needed platnium plugs and they tuned the rest of the car up.

He said the car had platnium plugs so they were expensive- alot of good those expensive plugs did him, lol.
