So the inspector comes back a second time, I'm thinking to just look at the repairs we did on the wood rot he noted from the first time, and he finds termites in a window...5 days before I'm supposed to close. He didn't see the "signs" around the window the first time. $400 to treat the window and underneath the rest of the house. not to mention jeopardizing my closing. termites suck ***!!

Sorry to hear it, fritz. Damn bastard inspector! How the hell could they miss that?

Our neighbor's house was getting forclosed by the bank, so my inlaws decided to buy it. Nobody had lived in it in 2 years, and they didn't take care of it before that. When they had it inspected, THERE WERE NO TERMITES! I had no idea how or why.

A termite guy once told me that they're everywhere in Florida, and if you don't have them, they're bound to be within 100 yards of your house.

$400 to treat a window, maybe you should just replace the window?
