i hate hanging up on telemarketers

you usa guys get alot of that or what? i get calls everyday from people trying to sell me **** or get me credit cards

this broad calls me this morning (ITS SATURDAY AND IM DRINKING MY COFFEE IN THE MORNING), and is all "youre approved to get a capital one card! you get the following:"

a decent credit limit

a shitty apr

an expensive *** annual fee

and right away shes like so ill just ask you a few questions and ill send you one in the mail

and i go "um well i dont think im really interested, since i have other credit cards that are doing WAY better than that apr, and they have NO annual fee"

and she just continues to talk like i didnt just say that

so i hung up

and it makes me feel bad inside

Why?

Thanks but no thanks, goodbye.

If you are still being bothered after that its verbal assault and badgering...badgering in court can get you banned from court so why not a hanging up of the phone?

I like to tell them I have cancer I have bigger things to worry about.

Yah, what's so bad about just hanging up? It's not like screaming obscenities at them or anything.

I don't get very many, but I only have a cell phone, I just politely tell them they are calling me on my cell phone and I would appreciate it if they did not do that in the future.

comcast signed us up for some new bs package, that included a landline. its NOT on the do not call list, so it rings at all hours with telemarketers.

we havent given the number out, but we both use it because our cell phones get no reception here, in silicon valley.

anyways, since nobody knows the number, if it rings its 90% certain a telemarketer, so if we answer its something funnay

lol mike

well she sounded kind of hot on the phone, and then started sounding a little nervous like "this guy hasnt hung up yet this might be a sale for me"

but she just wouldnt listen to me so i had to dump her

nobody else feels rude to hang up? i mean those people are working jobs you know, they dont want to be phoning you at home they are just doing what their boss is saying, you know? i guess i shouldnt feel bad youd be thick skinned enough to take a job like that i suppose
