I'm going to Colorado for about a week at the end of this month. I got to thinking and realized I haven't taken a vacation in almost 2 years...wow! This should be very fun and relaxing. Here is a picture of where I will be and the view from the place we are staying. I'll be sure to share a picture of me with my shirt off doing something when its all said and done.

North and sligtly west of Denver at a place called ESTES. Its all bordering the Rocky Mountain National Forest or park...whatever they call it. I'll have to break out my old survey boots and get ready to do some hiking.

Estes Park is nice, but bring lots of money, it is a true tourist trap. Also be prepared for a distinct lack of oxygen up here, especially if you're driving. You'll probably notice a lack of power up at 7,522 ft. Have fun

That pic has to be Longs Peak. I've walked up it enough times to recognise it.
