we refinished our garage right after new-years.... i'm sure there wasn't as much **** in our as yours vosko, but it sure was nice to fix it up. we tore out everything, insulated the walls/ceiling, new garage doors, new lights, sheetrock, the whole works. and man it makes a difference.

i didn't do that........................ i wish !

it makes such a difference... we used to have something like close to 20 lights in the garage, most of them for just 2 stalls. now with the sheetrock and white paint and everything, we only have 4 4-foot lights. and it's waaaaaaaaaay brighter than before.... i do have some pics somewhere

my garage is probably i'd say 40 years old ? i would love to do that but there are slightly more important things to put that much money into....
