It may be a hydrogen powerd Rensis... But there IS a turbo attached to it. Dont be alarmed it the next Rx-7 comes in turbocharged renesis form.
Also, there's a small Electric motor to give the turbo boost right off the line
The engine no longer needs to rev to spool the Exhaust turbine, the electric motor aids in spooling and than cuts off once a certain exhaust pressure is reached.
