Unhappy

Hey, I just want to mess around with lunix again. I used to be a little wizard back then when I was 18 but i haven't touched lunix in 6 years or so. I want to mess around with it and get familiar with it.

I downloaded 8.0 suse just to play around. I can make a boot cd and make it load up but can't get past the installation menu, can't get it to install.

Any tips anyone?

Install wize Mandrake is cake. That is what I would suggest. What are you having problems with disk partitioning?

I'm used red hat before. I just want to try out different version of linux.

I haven't been able to get to disk partition yet. After i bootup from the bootup disk, i have to start installation and that's the part it doesn't work, it can't find the disk image.

Sounds like a bad iso. Try downloading it again or another flavor from www.linuxiso.org

I'll try that. Reading the linux forum, looks like suse doesn't make it easy to install from download. They want you to buy it instead. Thanks
