Suggestions on surviving arctic temperatures

Yesterday morning the low was 16F. 9am here, current temp is in the low 20s. Freaking ridiculous.



We've been talking about taking a trip to TN, so we can at least let the kids see some snow to go along with frigid cold.

somehow it was raining AND -8C here the other day, no wonder I did not like fluid dynamics class.....

damm Scott you moved from Washington and already forgot what cold was?



btw- fact is boats get colder then the air temp, hopefully the water keeps your boat warmer

Water temp is 51 degrees, i'm pretty well insulated and have plenty of heat so it's not bad indoors, but outside it's miserable. Actually a couple of days ago was the first time since I moved to Florida that it's been warmer in seattle then here!!!! As far as already being used to the warm, i never really "enjoyed" the cold in washington.

I dont enjoy it, anyone who says they "love the cold" is full of **** once it gets lower then 32 it aint cold no more, its freezing- duh!

HA HA, oil lamps provide both heat and light so jokes on us i guess. the shitty part was his walk to school was 17 miles and uphill in all 4 directions (he took a different route home and back for lunch).

50 with a light breeze, gotta love the pineapple express, they bring it in from Hawaii just for us this time of year. Left coast is the best coast!
