OK so I was at work today (Sears Auto Center-shitty, I know) and this kid came in with a '95 240SX complaining of a weird noise and thumping from the wheel area. So we pull the car in, it sounds awesome, and we pop the hood. It's got an SR20DET (fresh install) with GReddy front-mount on it, Blitz BOV, KYB Suspension, etc. Turns out the ****** guy who built the car kinda did a sloppy job on finishing up. The motor and everything were mounted and wired fine, etc. but the shocks were all at a weird angle, and not sitting right. Also, the thumping and weird noise were due to the fact that the left front wheel was not tightened down all the way. The wheel was wobbling like crazy and it stripped the lugs and lugnuts all weird, and fucked the wheel and tire up. Also, the KYB's were leakin a bit from bottoming out (again, due to a rush job on the install). I figure, if you're gonna put all this performance **** on a car and get paid for it, do the damn job right! If I were the owner of the car (I talked to him, he was all like "wtf?") I'd go back there and bust some heads, cause now he's gotta spend money on replacement wheels and tires and probably a new suspension. Anyway, just tohught I'd share...

 

hrmm, kind of odd that someone with a silvia wouldnt be able to think of problems on his own.

 

Woohoo. Makes me feel much better about my install of my new streetport, and my new suspension goodies.
