I wouldn't get a b2600i to swap a rotary.. Id rather do a b2000-2200 since you would pay more for a b2600i..

I was looking for a B-2600i at first, but they are hard to find. The B-2600 brings a turbo II gearbox from factory bolted to a piston engine. All that needs to be done is a very easy bell housing swap. I had a 1988 B2200 black truck before with a factory 1988 turbo II ecu and engine, running some very low boost (9psi) that truck was totally awesome. Ran 12.48@110mph on street tires with no traction. the truck tip the scale at 3000lbs with the driver in it.. But man this Mazda pick ups with a Rotary Turbo is the way to go..

rx7machine 02-19-2003 05:25 PM

Sucks you got so much snow..

Turbo II 02-19-2003 05:26 PM

ohhhh i thought u were stuck there cause vosko broke something already and it would take 3 straight days to fix https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

Thats why I love my Repu, the only reason I never considered doin the swap on a newer B-series is cause the cops hassle you like hell out here.. and the Repu is almost exempt from those laws.. so it is better, thats why I would like to stick a turbo on the B2600i, since it would be easier to remove when it was time to pass smog every 2 years..

j9fd3s 02-19-2003 05:30 PM

we are working on the 20b b2600....

Remove? couldn't you get all the proper paper work from the department of motor vehicle for the rotary conversion?

Not unless it will pass smog, Id have to install all the emissions junk from a newer year Rx7 along with theat engine and register it that way.. I would like to do that, but I have to do more research on the paperwork needed for this .. I think it can be done..

we got 22" but then the city trucks plowed and packed it right in front of the driveway making it more like 40"

vosko 02-19-2003 05:35 PM

putting the haltech in the new truck would work too.... you can outdrive me but i don't think the truck will have the hp yet :smirk:
