Stock Markets Had A Shitty Day Friday
#1
Even though the markets had a way shitty day on Friday, Corning (GLW) hit my target sell price of $12.00 so I guess I will sell my shares off today. This is the tough part, I try not to get greedy and be disciplined enough to sell, even though I know they will go a lot higher...
Anyway, I am thinking about picking up shares of Mazda. I think Mazda trades on the Nikkei as (MZDF). MZDF shares are at the top of their 52 week high at $2.88 a share. Their 52 week low is $1.63 so I am a little hesitant to buy at the high part of the cycle.
I guess I need to do more research. I was planning on selling GLW and cashing out and closing my Ameritrade account. But then I remembered a story about Harley Davidson. I don't remember all the details but the riders of HD mortorcycles each started picking up loose shares of stock in the company. Well when it came down to HD making some bad decisions the riders/stock holders exercised their voting rights and kept HD afloat and prevented them from making some bad decisions. They had sponged up a sizeable amount of stock (not a majority) but enough to have a loud voice at voting time.
So I was thinking, I buy Mazda products, why not buy Mazda stock, since I will not ever buy Ford regardless of how much money I make off of them I just don't like Ford.
Let me know what you all think...

Do your self a favor and hang on to Corning, its gona keep going up. I'd sell at 20.
mazda is traded on the nyse under an acronym, its sort of like buying the mazda stock but you get some insulation if something bad happens
What is that alias ticker symbol for mazda? And do the owners get proxy voting rights?
I joke but it would be awesome to pull off a highly orchestrated, multi state, multi country stock siege. Can you imagine the members of this forum having 10,000 votes in Mazda matters?!? A wet dream come true I tell you

I think I will hang on to Corning for awhile then. Thanx for talking some sense into me. I think I set my target sell price a little too conservatively. They can hit 20 easily by Q2.

im down for the mazda no pistons stock venture haha im so serious that would own
and keep your cornhole i mean corning stock haha setting a sell price is only ok in a volitile market right now the only place you have to go is up, even if you just keep it in a bit longer just milk it but dont get greedy, sell at a more resonable price but dont short change yourself and watch the ticker tomorrow and see your stock hit 25 a share and you sold at 12 when you easily could of stayed a BIT longer and got more, when you do this more than once is when you run into trouble
good luck!
