I saw him today and we briefly discussed cars, but he was busy taking care of officer business and had to go.
That's a sweet looking R34 your friend has there. If you dont mind me asking, do you know how much he picked it up for? And seeing as he's in the USMC, does he have plans to bring it back stateside with him?

I have considered taking a tour on Oki (USAF, E-5) since Kadena was where I graduated (Kadena HS c/o '95) and I want to see what all has changed since I was last there. I also want to take my USDM 93 FD there, but I'm afraid I'll get picked on by every other hooked up car on the road. [/quote]

I think he paid buku bucks for it...but he's a Captain in the USMC...so he can afford it. He wants to bring it stateside and has primarily kept it stock. Just intakes, catback and FMIC from what I've seen.

If you could bring your USDM FD here, do it! You can get an engine built by Dragon and get the infamous IGY tuning...

If you come do it in December, There is talk we will have a actual 1/4 mile track by then and the HKS drag race should be on it. In any event there will be a HKS race in december. I should have 8 cars put together by then pushing a minimum of 450 to the wheels and upwards of 600 on a couple of them. I should also have my car up to around 700 and some change as well so I'm sure sombody will be able to make you pee your pants...

Whoa! I forgot all about this thread.

I am still debating on whther I want to go back to Oki. I thought about Germany, but nobody knew of a rotary specialist in the area. But it is good to hear that there are people on the rock that can work on rotaries.

I'm gonna try to request some orders in the coming days, and I will also have to see if I can take my FD. I work in the transportation field in the AF so the TMO guys that move stuff for the AF are right in my squadron. I will be asking those guys if an AF E-5 is authorized to take POVs to Japan. I dont want to part with my car, since it looks to be one of the better FDs on the road (it was well taken care of).
