Talking

Hey whats up i dont know if anyone of you get Sport Compact Car, i bought it from my job because they have some nice pics on the New RX-8. But anyways on page 14 " Techno babble" , this guys says and i quote " First things first, the new renesis engine is the RX-8 is a 2.6 Liter. ALl the older versions of the 13B were 2.6 liter, too. The 12 A in the first generation RX_7 was 2.3 liters." , But wait theres more , " If you have been told a 13b WAS 1.3 liters, you were lied to sorry."

Later on he says " im right everyone else is wrong" . the point he is trying to make is that mazda when developing the rotary saw is more realtive to a 2- stroke engine because displacement is measured in how much combustion is done in a chamber. :Like a piston does one type of such as intake , compression combustion exhaust. (4).

Piston engine = 1 combustion per chamber

Rotary Engien = 2 ( intake and exhaust ). Measuring two combustion chambers per rotor instead of one.

I think he is wrong.

13B Chambers displaces (by mazda calculations )= 1308 CC, his views say it displaces 2616.

what do u think? Is he right or should Mazda and the Wankel pimp smack him??

I can't see how people figure a engine that can fit in a MILK CRATE can be any more than 1.3... I mean it's a whopping 80 cubic inches...

People just try to sound smart by saying Mazda lied about displacement...

Quite frankly, I could'nt care less. The more people that are wrong about the rotary engine means I'm just that much smarter... LOL

you got that right. It doesnt make sense. Its only 80 cubic inches clearly a 2.6 liter would be much bigger.

Here is the article hope you can read it guys
