Well, I drove the 79 RX7 to work for the first time today. Spent 36 miles there and 36 miles home trying to figure out why she wouldn't go into 5th gear. I kept looking at the shift **** and the 5th is in a strange location and then it would go into 3rd and I'd get pissed.



DOH! In 79 they only made a 4-speed tranny and the guy who owned it before me replaced the ****...



Oh well, still had her up to 102 in 4th gear zooming along with a new corvette. I'm sure he was scratching his head wondering how I was going that fast.

Hahaha, thats funny. 4 speeds aren't bad, both the min's are 4 speeds. I've only been in 5th about 2 times in my FD since i've owned it. City driving will do that.

 

With the jetta im in 5th regularly in town, LOL
