Spent 24 hours in Guaymas Mexico

Yesterday morning I was scheduled to meet some guys about flying to Guaymas Mexico, well San Carlos to be more exact. The owner of the plane just hired a guy to fly for him from Guaymas to Oregan every three weeks, but he's british and needs his licences converted to US. However, the owners insurance doesn't cover the british guy to fly the plane around just yet solo, so the owner flew up with him to drop the plane off with me, then I'd fly the owner back to Mexico and then back to the US. A lot of back and forth. So the insurance company was taking their sweet *** time to see if I was even covered to fly it around with the british guy so we waited and waited untill the weather turned shitty and they couldn't make the flight back to Mexico by themselves. At this point I was hired to sit up front with the owner and assist in flying back to Mexico, since I don't mind flying in bad weather ect... The only catch was I had to spend the night. Luckily for me I brought spare clothes. Ok so get to Guaymas, clear customs, and take a drive across town to San Carlos where these guys live. The owner of the plane offered to put me up on his boat, which sounded like a win to me, but the british guy insisted I stay with him and his wife cause they had their place setup for me. What they didn't inform me of was the wife likes to take in stray Mexican dogs. 13 stray dogs, and 7 cats. I hate dogs. As we walk through the front gate to the house, which sits on a bluff overlooking the Gulf of California/Pacific Ocean, I get swarmed by dogs. One dog liked me so much he bit me twice on the right leg. I was not amused at this point. Luckily he didn't really puncture the skin but It was a long 20 foot walk of trying to pretend I wasn't scared of getting mauled to death. I was given the grand tour of the house, which was beautiful aside from animal hair, and the occasional gecko that was running along the walls. The british guy thought I'd enjoy a peaceful night with them, and their animal farm, rather than hanging with the rich owner and other friend that had an evening of drinking beer and margarittas. Boy was he wrong. Although the wife did make a nice dinner and I threw back a bottle of wine as quickly as I could to dull the pain. I retired to my quarters around 9:30pm and took a shower, but not before I used their house phone to call my girlfriend to let her know I wasn't making it home. My cell phone doesn't work down there. I got her voicemail and left a message. Sometime during my shower she called back and the british guy let me know as I was drying off. The next few moments were quit uncomforatable for me, as he brought a robe to my door and said throw this on and come use the phone.....which is located in their bedroom. The robe, wasn't really a robe. A robe typically has a belt that you can easily tie up to keep your junk from being exposed, this had some little girly string that didnt' give me much confidence. Not only that I don't care for talking on a phone in a guys room while he's in the bathroom brushing his teeth. I made the call short as possible. The next morning we were still waiting for the insurance company to make up their mind, so in the meantime I took the owner and another guy flying around the area and made a quick couple hundred bucks, and enjoyed some fish tacos for lunch. I couldn't stay in the dog house and the view of the ocean from the sky was pleasurable. The owner of the plane laughed at me and let me know he tried to save me from the dogs and thats why he offered the boat. I made sure to tell him next time I'm down, which is going to happen, I am staying on the boat. Well the insurance company finally said I'm good to fly the british guy back to the US of A so off to the airport we went yet again and were dropped off. Everyone left and as we were trying to get back through customs to leave we apparantly didn't have one important piece of paper that was needed to leave the country. My cell phone doesn't work there, the british guy didn't have a phone, we had no phone numbers to call anyways, everyone was gone, and I then proceeded to use the bathroom to take a huge **** and regroup. Well we get a taxi back to the dog house, was able to get the owner on his phone who was out fishing at this point, find the papers we needed to leave the country, and flew back to the states where I am now typing this message. Monday I get to do this again.
