ok is it possible to have a cracked block if there is no water in the oil?? theres a bunch of water coming out of the exhuast. I dont see how it could be coming out the exhaust unless it was a cracked block.

What motor is it? A bad head gasket will let water into the cylinders and blow white smoke (steam). It doesn't HAVE to be a cracked block.

The first thing you do to determin if you have a blow head gaket or crack head/block ..is to see if the coolant is mixing with the oil....If it a Milky chocolate color then you have problems...
You will have to pressure test the sytem to see if you see it coming out of the block..next thing you do is take the head off get it tested for cracks/warp...
Maybe you will be lucky and it just be a intake gasket instead of a crack head/block..
And Your refering to a Oldsmobile 307 right?Chevy 307?What kinda car is it in?

well until you said streaming out and the fact you said it was a chevelle I was thinking of some of the Ford motors that are notorious for dripping water out of their exhaust's... my 2.3 spits water when revved up but her coolant is fine and she has no leaks... But oh well....
