has anybody here separated two soldered copper pipes? don't you just heat up the lead connection again and slowly try to separate the pipes? i tried last night but i wasn't able to even budge the pipes even though the lead looked about ready to drip. i'm trying to replace my house's water heater. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

why don't u just take a hack saw and cut a little before the connection point and then just run a slightly longer copper pipe when u reinstall the new heater

yeah, i was also considering that..as the flexpipes you can buy with compression end fittings. sounds good..
