i dunno, people in jersey at least drift pretty fast in snow...not on purpose, and normally in circles while moving straight, but still...

Thinking as a homeowner, if the power goes out in the winter, I can use my gas logs to heat the house, bundle up with blankets and the wife. If the power goes out in the summer, I am truly screwed, because my generator can't run a heat pump, and 100 degrees with 90 percent humidity is hell on earth. It depends to some extent on where you live. If I was still in Jersey, I might rather take the heat, 'cause it don't get quite so hot up there. But here in VA, I'll take my chances with the cold, 'cause it don't get THAT cold.

The plural of index, I am impressed, not too many people know that.
And, snow loses every day of the week to the heat, cold weather sucks.

I thought it was just the maths one that was spelt like that? Not that it matters but I'm sure Indexes is a word. This is actually bugging me a bit
Anyhoo, I'd prefer to be too hot than too cool, but only because the warmer climate makes everyone happier here, and you can go outside and do stuff - I like to be pretty cool when I sleep though.

[quote name='inanimate_object' date='Jul 29 2005, 06:15 PM']Do you have Statoil in the states? I don't remember seeing one when I was over. They have this really stereotypical adverts with some kind of leprechaun character saying "fair play to ya!" lol.
