God damn, that was a chore to sit through. Absolutely NOTHING was said. It reminded me of what every politician's campaign sounds like. The general message was "We're going to fix everything, but have no real plan as to how". Obama must be setting some kind of record for all the rhetoric he talks. He's in office and he's STILL doing it. Most presidents by this point had the spine to say "Yeah, that campaign promise isn't possible now." Of course it was always given the context of "but it's not my fault" but now it's even more like watching a figurehead. Now I'm just happy I didn't get cable when I moved to my new place.

Trying to build himself up on unrealistic promises so he doesn't get kicked out of office when **** hits the fan/

Obama getting impeached would be my wet dream

Seriously though I caught 30 seconds of it...I wasnt really sure WTF you were talking about.

He made an attempt at "standing up" for the "working man" by trying to make some rich farts (including him apparently) a tad angry by throwing out a notion that he MIGHT shrink by a small percentage the returns from donating to charitable foundations. He was trying to instill this aire of change but really...the returns are just an added bonus to people who actually contribute...and affects anyone who would donate.

In reality thats not exactly a way to take money away from rich people its just a way to make them stop contributing alltogether! And under his context it makes the sheep a little more happy with him for another goddamn day.
