Cool, Now you can go out and break your current one..

vosko 05-05-2003 05:58 PM

well the other spare tranny is now just a tranny case . i could have it rebuilt but this spare trans was WAY cheaper than rebuilding the other trans with new gears, bearings, forks, shafts, and everything inside the trans, like my current tranny has............... better to have the spare tranny sitting in the garage than NOT have one https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

The other one was the backup incase the curse of vosko fell upon the first one. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png

UniqueTII 05-05-2003 06:17 PM

UPS employees aren't allowed to lift over 70 pounds alone...union rules. They'd possibly get in trouble if there weren't 2 people delivering it, and they only run with 2 people per truck during the Christmas season.

Of course, that is my favorite rule to break, and my new supervisor doesn't really care. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Do U work 4 UPS? What U do? I work for them. The 70 lbs. thing is true, but nobody cares. I lift 150's (the limit) by myself all the time. Yeah, our station sends a driver helper out during peak season, too.

UniqueTII 05-06-2003 03:50 AM

I am a loader in the Des Moines hub...it's good times. I used to get written up all of the time for the lifting rule, but nobody cares any more. I lift whatever I have unless the full time supervisor is around...fire hydrants are my favorite.

banzaitoyota 05-06-2003 08:40 AM

Spare parts ROCK! I have 3 sets of BBS vert rims, two GTUs Diffs, and more cars than you can shake a stick at

vosko 05-06-2003 12:32 PM

i used to have $10k worth of parts sitting in my room..... now its in the car. looks better that way https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Hickory, NC hub here. I'm a metro unloader...and sometimes a sorter. Fire hydrants? I don't think I've ever seen those come through. We get anvils...they suck.

UniqueTII 05-08-2003 04:27 AM

Ha...anvils...who is shipping them, Acme? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif I keep meaning to take my sort test, but since I'll probably be gone in August, it's not really worth the bother now. Unloading is fun....sometimes I get loaders complaining about their backs hurting, so I tell them to unload for a day or two. Their backs will never hurt in outbound again! I did some unloading when they were short on people...the best was a whole truck of Gateways by myself. Damn near every box was 60 pounds.

vosko 05-08-2003 06:51 AM

i guess this is the special ed workout system ? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

We get Dale Jarett hats. BTW, we got 2 of those trucks with flames painted on them. They have Racarro racing seats. I guess that's cause' D.J. lives here (Hickory). Nothing performance wise. I drove one of them the other day and it was the same as the others (which do pretty good for such a big truck) Sort test? Not me. I just told them I was going full time (Army) if they didn't let me do it. That very day I started training. Yes, Ed is a very special guy and he needs his workout, too. Aight, this is getting way https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683621.gif . Spare parts...hmmm...yeah, I only posted here cause' I seen UPS in the title. Who cares...98.2% of Gen D is https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683621.gif !!!

Unions, the officially mascot of inefficiency

SeventyMach1 05-09-2003 11:16 PM

Hey, I don't like unions myself. I was given the option of joining or not. I said NO. Our is Teamsters. They have bad reputations, and that was enough for me. Although....if U R N it, you would have to kill someone to get fired.

teknics 05-09-2003 11:16 PM

hehe teamsters funded vegas casino's back when the mafia ran everything.
