I wouldn't do that, euro is going to hit the floor too, gold or suisse francs if you want a safe haven.

You can start with my wedding ring from my ex wife. A few diamonds, some gold... $200.

Precious stones are not a good investment, if for no other reason then they can't be valued based on weight, too many variables, quality, color, etc, etc... I can tell you in a few seconds with my Fisch testers if a gold coin is real or not and thus tell you what's it's worth.

yeah me too, ive been on the barter system for quite a while, it actually works really well.
