I swear to god they are going to ship all 15, 1 at a time. I got my first one today, Part # W501-17-732A - Actually they Shipped W501-17-732B I am guessing it supercedes the first one. BTW- That is the Overtop Sleeve Clutch Hub or as I like to call it the 3rd-4th clutch sleeve.



Mazda has weird names for the tranny internals. 4th gear is called Main Drive and 5th gear is called Overtop.



I honestly wonder if all 15 parts are going to come in seperate packages.

yes the b sunperceeds the a, and yes it will come from the 4 corners of the globe , i was about to ask if you got all that looked up ok, i guess thats a yes!

 

Yes I got the part numbers and thank you for the link. I downloaded all the Parts manuals from the 1st gens right nown to the 93's. That will be very very handy.





It does not look like my tranny is gonna get together by the weekend so I am heading to the Rev-it-up in Miami to display it without reverse. How embaressing.

 

lol yeah our race car doesnt have 5th or reverse for some reason either, it worked on the ground but not in the car, it kinda sucks lol

 

I can understand 4th...because its 1:1...but overtop?...maybe because its overdrive?

 

When we were building a B-prepared RX-7 we were going to use a N/A tranny and take out 5th/reverse for weight savings. 90% of your Autocrosses are 1st and 2nd gear. 3rd is very rare but happens.

 

LOL I wonder if it any of it is coming from University Mazda, I think they have about the largest parts inventory of any dealer I have ever been.... 3 fuggin floors.

 

I get lots of parts from Ontario California when I order from Mazdaspeed.

 

top gear is 1:1, 5th is and over drive, or over top gear, i think its a translation thing
