I've been looking at gunshops around here, most of them are hunting shops or under the guise of a sporting goods store. Great deals on hip waiders though.

I like the bipod, the Harris ones always look like they have too many parts

That one is pretty simple, its got adjustable legs and folds strait forward or back, also rotates on the tripod

My FFL was in a marine recon unit, out of all of the weapons he has transferred for me this is the only one he took a big interest in, he was very excited. I talked to him about the desire of many people to go with bigger and heavier rounds like the .308, his response was "I have had to carry less food so I could bring more ammo, if I put either one in your head you are dead". That said there are advantages to both and of course disadvantages to both. Another detail that I used to shut my fellow doom and gloomers up when I told them I was buying another .223 was this. If things ever do go down and you find yourself at the wrong end of say the blackwater rifle or other GI gun, the feds are going to cut off the ammo supply instantly, the only thing you will be able to find are those you pick up of the corpses you laid down and those rounds will be .223, please note that I in no way support any domestic uprising or revolution, this would be a horrible, horrible way to "make change" (and quickly) many lives would be lost and odds are we will not win. I arm myself to protect me, my food stores, my gold and my family, not to get into some battle with blackwater (no i don't believe that us soldiers will ever turn their guns on us citizens). end of disclaimer https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

Roll you own! Never know when you might need 200 lbs of smokeless powder

I tell you what, I'll give you a 5 minute head start you start reloading your ****, I will start with an unloaded mag, lets see who wins. Reloading is great for the range, even hunting but it ain't practical on the battlefield.

TYSON 01-21-2009 06:44 PM

you are unlikely to be loading them as you are using them.

Collecting empties as you are using them might be an issue though https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.gif

To whom are speaking?

Rob x-7 01-21-2009 07:26 PM

a few rounds into the hull of your boat might make that sniper rifle hard to use!
