heres the car fresh outta the paint booth, it still needs reassembly, and to touch up the interior where it got some primer overspray from the exterior.
front suspension is now in and the skinnies are on the front. the car will be at rotorfest, but unfortunately wont be running. (no time to finish wireing)
btw this is a 'pro street' car that will see ocasional street duty (in case you guys were wondering about the glass windshield and hatch)
comments welcome
heres some old engine bay shots early in the exaust mani fabrication process
see you guys at rotorfest

realistically, were looking to go 8's with the car this year. the modified cars are currently running in the 7.70's and that # is sure to drop with the likes of paul efantis in the class. this car was built to NHRA modified class rules and thats where it will compete, but its also going to be a lot heavier than other cars in the class. we're using front and rear glass in the car, its not gutted as much as it could be, and we're planning to test 2 diffrent engine combos in the car this season.
the reason for all the extra weight and not gutting the hell outta the car is that we plan to drive it in the streets! were sick of seeing guys drive arround the streets in high 9 second back halved 'pro street' muscle cars thinking they own the streets.
since we missed out on the begining of this season, we figured we'd just have a lil fun driving an 8 second import 'pro street' car arround, while we compete at the remaining east coast events this year.
once the car is making the power we're looking for and we get the chassis dialed in we will lighten the car to the class minimum and go after some 7 second passes towards the end of this season and have the car ready for some record runs next season.
we hope to be on the track testing the car in the next 2 weeks so we can debut it at the Pan American Nats
thanx for the comments!!
