Why anything, you can't toss a question out that dives into the realm of human nature and expect an easy answer.
Why do you drink alcohol?
Why do you have sex without intentions of propogating the species?
Why do people chew their finger nails?
Why do we seek companionship it others?
There's a million of them, they more a part of your psyche or personality, you can't expect to get the same answer from everyone, nor can you expect a quick answer to the questions that bother you so.

Are you weak for seeking friends, companions, a mate? Where does it stop and end and who determines what is weakness, what is human nature, what is fun for one and not for another?
i could say someone is weak for not persuing their every desire.... not trying new things because it opens them to exposure.
