Damn you're right, vacuum pressure will be less but it'll be pulling in the air faster. If baldy's dad's truck had wipers that ran off vacuum that could explain the faster wiping

alot of early FD's were wrecked because of this check valve failing. It was initially mounted on the passenger side right over the turbos and the heat cooked the check valve, then a later recall moved it to the drivers side. I've gone past my house doing about 145mph with both feet on the brakes pressing as hard as i can and it didn't budge.... luckily there was nothing but open road in front of me.

just make sure the hose coming off the UIM on the passenger side is soft all the way thru it.... and that the one on the drivers side going into the brake booster has a hard spot in it... that would be the check valve.
