ok, I have no idea how to swap a FWD auto tranny. Is it a simple unbolt-and-remove, reverse for install deal? The guy says it runs fine, would be a good a-to-b car, but it can't go in reverse. Or is this something that's such a PITA that it's not worth the trouble?

second option: about how much would a garage charge to swap a FWD auto tranny?

Oh, sorry. I just read Banzai's AT to MT swap thread and thought you wanted to do the same thing with the Maxima. If you just want to put in another AT, then that really shouldn't be too bad.

heck, as far as I know, someone could probably rebuild the thing for me, either way, I'm pretty sure it's a good deal. I'm going to go check it out on my lunch break.
