I had to get a new picture taken for my id last week. I walked in saw the place was crowded took my ticket walked outside to get some air. I turned around went back in and they were on 2 tickets after me.

I think it only took a total of 10 miutes to take my ticket get my picture taken and get my new id.

Even on a slow day, the people at DMV are not going to get you on your way quickly. They move slow, they think slow, they are slow. Government workers at their worst. Oh, wait! I forgot about congress.

Our DMV is pretty fast. Took me an hour to wait in line, take the written exam, and get picture taken, and license printed out. I was impressed. And I had to get a license because I moved, not "other" reasons!

I've never waited more than 5 minutes. How many offices do you guys have? I think we've got 5 or so in a city of 340,000.

I live in an underpopulated part of the county, and the DMV is pretty close. If you pick the right time of the day, at the right time of the month, you can get yer **** done in less than an hour. I once tried to title a vehicle at the DMV downtown, and even though it wasn't crowded, it took me like two hours. The efficiency leaves a lot to be desired, as does the quality of the state employees. I swear these people would be passed over by most fast food restaurants.
