So I'm eating lunch at subway with some of my college chums

One of them looked over and said "Hey look at that protege, the plate on it says no pistons, haha I bet he couldn't afford an RX-8 and bought that instead"

I looked at him and I was like "what are you serious?" Cause I assumed the guy knew it was my car and was joking or something

And he said "Unless he has an RX-7 or something.. huh? What?"

I'm like that's my car!

He's like oh do you have an RX-7 or something?

I'm like Yep, and I happen to have an RX-7 engine in pieces in the trunk of it!

But hey I always thought when I was driving down the road, people would say hey that guy probably has a nice RX-7, I didn't think they would think I'm some broke *** bitch! Or do those go hand and hand... Ahh whatever

anyways the plate is for my RX-7 and it's my only plates with valid stickers, so I put them on my protege

I have a nopistons sticker on my tacoma. So does that mean there are dumb people that thinks my truck is rotary powered?

Maybe I will put my license plate frame on it too.

There's nothing shocking about that. The plate didn't match the car, end of story.

I just assumed it screamed "RX-7 OWNER" when it's on a daily driver

but apparently it screams "I'm too broke to drive an RX8"

That's what shocked me
