Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the crash tests generally have the vehicle moving along and striking a solid object? I haven't seen any tests where they run over a Stupid-for-Two car with something the size of a GMC Yukon. Airbags and structure can go a long ways in making you safe, but ultimately, size matters. Just ask your girlfriend.
