I CAN"T NO CAR TO DRIVE. not that having my sister drive me to work everyday and pick me up isn't cool  if either of my cars ran i would have gone......
You could always take the van to the track.
if i'm gonna take a van. i'm taking the one from work a brand new 2002 E150 should be able to rip some nice 18 second 1/4 miles...... h34r:
I know a guy who used to rent cars and bring them to the track. He would have to scrape off the numbers before he brought them back.
turborotor and i had to do that when both our cars broke at etown a few weeks ago i hope i don't have car totally fail while drag racing again...... this is the first rx7 i had that then engine totally failed while i owned it this engine had low compression from the beginning though 100 psi front 95 psi rear. all my racing sure didn't help
Somehow I think that the car would have lasted longer in somebody else's care.
are you trying to tell me, drag racing the car biweekly, driving to mads 1000 miles, road course racing the car for two days (on boost whole time), doing burnouts, brakestands, top speed 150+ mph runs on the highway, and having me behind the wheel will decrease engine life no way. in the three months i had the car running. i ABUSED IT. for a $500 car did extremely well running cosistent 13 second runs
I've started to be a little easier on my car...for now.
blasphemy
Well, I have to be careful with test drives in my area. There have been alot of cops around lately. Now that I think of it I was boosting alot yesterday.
just gotta drive with eyes open
Yeah, if I see them I usually turn at the first corner I see to avoid them completely.

Whenever I pass another seven I usually waive. I guess I am just used to it with the Jeep waive thing. Some kid drives a 1st gen close to where I live, and I have passed him a couple of times. Each time I have waived (in my 1st gen) and the kid gives me the strangest look. Unfortunately they are kinda like "what the **** are you looking at" looks. Oh well, too bad he sucks

When I pass other Sevens, I've always tried to wave or give an FTP flash to the other driver. This one dude in my town with an 88 10AE always waves back or gives me the peace sign. I still haven't had a chance to talk to him. One time, I was driving along side this 1st gen, and I looked over to wave, and the dude was this middle-aged guy who grinned and gave me the nod. He knew what was up. Unfortunately, as of late, I usually get the same "WTF" looks that you mention.

I love it when people come and talk to me about my seven. one time this hot girl came in domino's and ask about my seven we chatted for a minute. her EX-boyfriend used to race them but unfortunately i never got his number or hers (i'm such a chode around the ladies)

however just the other day i was at a red light when a gold series iv pulls up beside me we both had our windows down so i went "dude i like you car" and oddly enough he responded telling me mine was cool also. its a wonderful world when 7 owners can come together for a common good!

Don't feel bad Dave, Just do what I do. Realize that most oklahomans are ******s and go on about your biz... They were born here, live here, and probably will die here without ever knowing much different.

For example, I have a neighbor with a beautiful blaze red S4 NA on rims, I used to wave but never got a return so I quit. I think he thinks he's a gangster or something. Oh well... tough ****, his ignorance is his own loss. For all I care he can keep buying overpriced Mazda parts for his aging car.

For the most part I do let them just go on about their business, but it sucks to know that they've got a 7 just longing to be treated right.

I cant wait to get mine running, then I can start on the rebuild. I'm hoping to redo my interior too. All DIY.

Sometimes i get the WTF looks and others i get warm welcomes. But either way it seems that i am always doing the chasing , never the one being chased(well not by the cops any way). But oh well, I always have to run down other RX owners even if its out of my way.
