so, call me gay, but i like this car. you get toyota quality, fun, college-age styling, and 160 hp engine standard with a 5 speed transmission. it also includes 17" alloy rims. the car looks like a civic, but better, and is not as common so every ricer out there wont have one.

also, it's rumored that TRD is coming out with a 200 hp supercharged version.

this site has a lot more pictures, and a good closeup of the TRD supercharged engine:

2.4 liter 4-cyl with VVT-i (2AZ-FE)

HP: 160@5700 rpm

Torque: 163@4000 rpm

17x7 alloy wheels standard with 215/45/17 hi performance tires

Standard 45-series Pirelli tires

standard panorama glass top

keyless entry with a new key design

knee airbags (driver side)

rear seats recline and can be adjusted in 10 different positions

with the seat folded down there is space for an 8.5' cargo

cast aluminum *****

the dash was inspired by a Japanese paper - really nice

Nice sporty seats

Four-wheel disc brakes (xA and xB have rear drums)

Supercharger almost ready to be released

Rear sunroof panel for the back seat passengers

MP3 head unit for stereo

the xA and the xB start at $13K - $14K, i heard this one is under $17K for the base model (everything above included), $20000 fully loaded with the supercharger

yeah, after looking that over again, i really like it. i has some styling cues from the acura rsx, which i like, but it is like $8000 cheap and has just as much hp with the supercharged engine.

and you could throw on a different pully and increase the boost, along with a better exhaust, maybe bump power up 20 - 30 hp.

yeah, the xA and xB missed the mark. but this has lots of potential, enough to give the civic a run for it's money.

i'd buy this over a civic any day.

i think i'd buy it over the RX-8. it should weigh less than the RX-8, and with the supercharger, it would have like 30 ft-lb more torque. it also costs like $9000 cheaper, and i like the rims better. and there looks like more interior room.
