Your funny!! I have done the same with my 10 y/o. I have to stop though in 6 years he will have a liscense. How do I tell him not to race on the street when I do it?
I am really trying to keep it on the track. My son has been with me for a couple of races from lights. I always shut down at the top of 2nd though. 3rd gear on the street = jail.
Still no excuse for me to be setting a bad example.
I need therapy.

Bit of a slow night. Cops & booze buses everywhere and no-one wanted to try...maybe because of all the cops lurking! Not a total loss tho, we rolled around for a few hours, checked out the progress on a mates race car (74 Rx4 Coop) and I scored a 1.75 A/R split pulse t04E turbine housing for nix! Good basis for a big **** terbs when the motor get rebuilt.
Jim, I hears ya....I tell him street racing is dangerous & Dad is 'naughty' for doing it, and don't go to the illegal on-street meets.
I take him to circuit & strip stuff as often as possible, and he will be able to drive in motokhana from age 12 (assuming he is still into it)
Tis a fine line between sharing the enjoyment and setting a bad example!
