Sa22 Or Fb3s?

I call them SAs, I call them FBs. Everyone else seems to do it as well. I know my 8 is SE3P, but on the VIN is says FE. Same thing here? They're really called SAs but VINs on them say FB? Just random question for your pleasure. Mmmmmm....pleasure.

ok if you actually go look at a 1st gen. the 79-80's vins will start with
sa22c-xxxxxx, in japan this works for 79-now. if you look at a us spec 81-85 rx7 its jm1fb33.......
i have no clue why they dont call the rx8 the fe, theres NOTHING on or about the car thats got se3p on it. and hell theres only 1 rx8 so just call it an rx8
