Let me state right off the bat, I am not associated with www.rx7club.com. I'm just the rotorhead who created RXTuner Magazine. You can download the prototype and subscribe at www.rxtuner.com I'm heading out to California on December 11th to meet with Mazda and their agency, Doner to see how involved Mazda wants to be in the publication. I really hope they see how important these cars are to us and make an effort to support us.

Brian
then why did the email say rx7club.com and not nopistons.com

I would really not worry yourselves with the whole issue of this mag being associated with RX7Club.

Its still not Jason or any of the mods. Its Benjamin, Ryan (BOOSTED 7 ) and this guy posting here. Big deal. I still have my issues with the RX7Store (lost order) but that isnt going to keep me from the magazine. It's not the RX7 club so hwo cares.

I mean really come on. Its a RX7 magazine in English and you guys are complaining..

Beats the **** out of me

One thing you have to understand is Nopistons.com is a pretty tight community, I don't think you are really grasping the concerns that "they" ie the members of Nopistons were specifically excluded and for that matter ANY other rotary engine forum on the net. When RX Tuner hopped in bed with rx7club and rx8club, which by the way are owned by one of the afformentioned persons, they excluded the rest of the community.

I personally could give a **** less, just trying to explain some of the harsh feelings.

As I stated before I really don't see the necessity for it to be associated with ANY forum, but it is and you can try and deny that up and down, but no matter what you say that is the case.

Indeed, but advertising makes the publication profitable, not the subscribers.

Could not have said it better myself.

If Jason has nothing to do with it why is he being such a ***** to people that are questioning if it will actually be printed?

I am waiting for January '04 to see if this mag actually comes out or if the excuses start flying as to why its not done.

I signed up for a lifetime subscription to Racer Magazine and really don't need much more than that. Its the only car mag I have a subscription to. Why buy a mag for info I can readily get online.

Plus I don't like the fact that this guy is lying about his affiliation.

Good luck with the mag but be aware your affiliation w/ RX7ClUB cost you this subscriber and probably many others.

The RX7store lost one of my orders too and I don't even know Jason! Again, I'm a publisher that owns a TII. RX7club.com is "affiliated" only because I was a member there and contacted Ryan on my own accord in the hopes of utilizing his site as a source for editorial and marketing. I'm sorry that the hatred runs deep but there are members on this forum that know me and can attest to the fact that I'm not part of the "other" forum and as President of the local club, done nothing but better the rotary community. http://www.firstcoast7.com/ is the only site I have any part of. I guess all I can do is just keep making sure the magazine is produced and go from there.

For those that want to contribute, please contact Benjamin@RXTuner.com with your story ideas. We are putting together the editorial calendar and can really use first gen and old school rotary material.

I'll be out of pocket until Tuesday--the wife just gave birth two hours ago to our sencond child --shoot me an email or a PM if you have any questions.

Brian

EDIT: I asked Ryan why Jason did the things he did...nothing but detrimental to both forums in my opinion.

ok I have an idea. Perhaps we can convince the editor to write up andarticle about rx-7 forum and make the lead nopistons. Also in that article he can just forget to mention the evil forum.

some of you guys crack me up. all this talk about "its part of the rx7club" and all that is so god damn childish. not just in this thread, but all over this forum.

its also funny that members form this site who supposedly *hate* the "evil forum" (as you call it) still visit it and post there. i wonder why it is that meets are mostly set up in the regional sections there. where do you go to sell something? why post the same question on BOTH forums? and most of all, why cry about being banned/censored or whatever you cry about if you have "rx7club sucks" or something to that effect in your sig here? if you do get banned for whatever reason there and hate it so much, why make up another name? dont you want to be away from the "evil"?

im not trying to start any trouble here, just wondering what the deal is. if you hate something so much or cant stand it, why loose sleep over it?

i like Dave's attitude about the situation. he doesnt care who the publication is affiliated with. it will bring him enjoyment and that is how you should look at it too. its good for the whole comunity. IMO anyway...
