The interior door panel, You have to take the armrest off, the door handle trim off, if you have manual windows you need to take the crank off, then work your way around the door to make sure there aren't any more screws, and start popping the interior panel off working around the door until you can lift it off then you can access the back of the handle.

You gotta have the window up to tighten one side of the handle and down to tighten the other. There is a little plug near the edge of the door, remove that to gain access to the other bolt.

That sucks!

I almost ordered a handle from Mazdatrix, but I'm waiting to hear from Andy @ Mazdatech to see what he has. I think he is on vacation.
Just go to your local dealer, its the same price.

We both need white. That would be sweet! I'll scrounge up a new one when I get back from my trip.

my handle is loose. my aunt and uncle had it fixed by the dealer once, but they dont warrant their work. How can i fix this prob??
They are supposed to have those little star lock washers on the bolts, if they are missing, be sure to either put some removable lock-tite on the bolts, or some lock washers.

This is off the subject but I saw a very clean 10th AE on the freeway today. He was going north, I was going south. I spotted him immediately to see if it was either Phinsup or CABRIO, but it was some older guy. Very nice and shiny though, and it had badges! Maybe I should have found out where he lives, lol.

My brother said that there was a 10th AE on a lot near Shoreline on Aurora or something. I might go check it out on Saturday, see what kind of shape its in.

$85

But it is brand new, and should match the color of the car.

I called Covey's, and they wanted $65 for a used handle. So now $85 for a new one doesn't sound bad.

Mazdatech is a repair shop. I'm friends with the owner, He would sell them to me for real cheap, or just give them to me.

Oh, and the dealer wants $150+ per handle, right Phinsup?
