seems like all you need is a computer upgrade...... your car is more than capable of going more than 150 with the power that it has!!! the US version were governed to 159 and only made 255hp

I would imagine there are tuners out there that have rechipped these ECU's in the US there are places like Pettit that reprogram the stock ECU for more fuel and better timing. There has to be a tuner like that in either Japan or the UK.

LOL - I am listening to Ministry of Sound out of London right now.

BTW - Welcome to No Pistons

Yes the japanese cars are governed to 180 kph. you can send you ecu to be remaped which will remove this or you can buy an Re-amemiya re maped computer. I'm not sure will the j-spec ecu harness match the us ecu? if it does then get a us one re done by pettit racing. of **** it and spend the cash on a Apex power fc.

Its just a speed boost cut. You can have your stock computer redone, or get one of like 100 car companies ECUs.

Or get a PFC for the future, so you dont have to keep messing with ECUs.

What year Type R do you have? If you have a 96-98 USED PFCs are at like $750 with commander.

Nope sorry guys the 93-95s are still at $800-850.... I dont get why, but thats just the going price for them..
