RX-2 questions

Hey Dac, your right there man, there're even rarer over here.Getting real hard to find a genuine item, not just a copy. If you have a look back though some previous posts[sorry I'm not sure which section] a few months back, I was chating with a guy with a couple of Rx-2 coupes and a sedan for sale. He wanted a RH drive R100[ which I happen to have one of] and wanted to swap cars basically. He tried selling them on Ebay but had no luck, go figure!
Hey Felix, what series Rx-2 you got??

Don't know how I missed this post earlier. I am definitely a fan of the RX-2. My first car was an RX-2. Bought it for $500, drove it for five years, and sold it (many years ago) for $425. The thing I remember about the car, was that everything on it worked well, which is something you can't always say about a $500 car. Mine was a 4-door, and I can't tell you the times I surprised the **** out of somebody at a stoplight when I'd let that baby wind out. Definitely a sleeper.
The car was solidly reliable, but being a Jersey car, it had some rust. Mostly in the arches over the rear wheels. I never had any trouble with mine, except for distributor points.

Sounds like a cool project Dysthymia. If it needs a new engine, I am sure you could find a running 12A for cheap. There was like an 81 for sale just the other day for around 750. The body was alright, including the interior. It even had a back seat! It was the firs FB I had seen with a back seat. I would not of paid any more than 500 for it, but I am sure that it ran. It had about 140000 miles on it. You could easily take the engine and part out the car.
