If its just surface rust, sand it off. If its deeper, get some ranex rustbuster (phosphoric acid 35%) and it will turn the rust back to metal.

thanks =D

rust back to metal? hummm
got any pics of your corrosion? Like said before if its surface corrosion, you can remove it to with a greeny wheenie, the little green scrubby things for dishes. If its deaper then that, remove the most you can then use possibly rust buster, never heard of it, but hey I dont know much outside of the US. First remove it, BOOK definition, nothing can stop corrosion, you can only slow it down. |
hrm, when storing my crap, how do i prevent rust? it was just in my garage for a year. and bam, whole lotta rust. i dun think it got wet often, maybe some condensation and wut not, but it was relatively dry. should i vaccum pack crap?

Wipe it down with a light coating of oil, or spray it with WD-40.
|
Use Boeing T-9 Spray to prevent corrosion. It was designed to store aircraft parts
