I'm ditching work early to get a jump on my trip. I should be leaving town around 4pm, possibly stopping "to see about a girl" and should be in NJ late tomorrow morning...yippee!

vosko 06-27-2003 02:31 PM

UniqueTII 06-27-2003 02:32 PM

I need to go to sleep Saturday night, but we'll see what I can do. Do they have a big NY table at your hooters? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

mine is overheating too, yesterday was scary as hell...not sure what to do about this.

FrestyleFC3S 06-27-2003 02:39 PM

what i did ---- bought a koyo - new OEM thermostat - and new rad. hoses - bidding on a fiero efan right now

FrestyleFC3S 06-27-2003 02:40 PM

my car is usually at a hex over the middle of the temp gauge - driving in town its going up to 3/4 or to the H

so i havent driven it since the rain broke --- letting it rest until the rad comes in

weather.com says 75 degrees for sunday - so if thats true ill be ther in my rx7 - my rad. is supposed to come in monday

djgiantrobot 06-27-2003 02:43 PM

i am trying to get the K2rd one because i know i will need it. Temps got up to like 235F yesterday before i gave up and shut it off, it just wasn't even cooling down at all even will driving at 50-60mph.

UniqueTII 06-27-2003 02:43 PM

My car hits 3/4 when I cruise at around 80-85 for extended periods of time. That's increasing my trip time. :(

turbovr6 06-27-2003 02:49 PM

Ed we should have about 10 people on Saturday, I'm hoping to do this "hooter's dinner thing" around 7 or 8 , I know my ass will need some sleep too, as I see myself geting up damn early on Sunday!!

vosko 06-27-2003 02:52 PM

my car is cruising around 185-210 with all this heat......

UniqueTII 06-27-2003 02:52 PM

I'll head over fairly early on Sunday to set up the cooking area. It's not going to be half-assed like last year. No offense to the kid who was cooking before me, but my way worked better. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...

93 R1 06-27-2003 09:59 PM

yeah, count me in

SPEED_NYC 06-27-2003 10:11 PM

damn, i feel all left out, nobody invited me to hooters.....

Rob x-7 06-27-2003 10:23 PM

Krissy is making a really good salad, its some greek contraption

thats out of this world.

I cruise at a nice 160 highway and rarely 180 locally, you guys

should stick to the stock radiator, fan, and shroud. I think those

thick radiators dont allow enough air flow thru them, especially with

a FMIC. If the car has the stock set up I cant see why it would run so

hot?

djgiantrobot 06-27-2003 11:08 PM

thats the problem, i don't see why either, but it does. Even after replacing the thermostat and flushing the hell out of the system i'm still having problems. Maybe some wrap on the DP and propping up the rear of the hood will help. The big radiator will be necessary for the track events i have something up however.

vosko 06-27-2003 11:16 PM

my old TII ran ice cold. i even tracked that sucker @ VIR. beating the living crap out of it ran great

loudazzrx7 06-27-2003 11:41 PM

Why god why--Is My 7 not ready!!!!

Wrapping the DP is a bad idea I believe.

FrestyleFC3S 06-28-2003 08:56 PM
