I just handed in my 12-page report on the Wankel yesterday morning. Let me get a few sites I used as sources.

Rotary vs. Piston: Know Your Enemy

Mazda's development of the rotary...

The Nicolas Faith book is a very good read. Check out The Wankel Engine: Design, Development, Applications by Jan P. Norbye for in-depth diagrams and comparisions...

Good luck. PM me if you need more sources. I have a few that aren't as informative, but still good...
Did anyone try these sites? I really want to check them out. For some reason I can't get them to work. And thanks again 2ndgeneration. I apperciate the help.

Make a conclusion that if Toyota would market a Rotary that the world would be a better place.

Mazda did mass market the Rotary Engine from the 60's all the way to 1979, once the 1st gen came out. Now if Mazda got smart and offered a rotary powered miata, Mazda would make a ton of money, and get the rotary engine out there even more.Miata, the most famous roadster on the road. Everyone recognizes them, next to Corvettes, and 'Stangs.

Oh yes, good luck with your paper. Don't make it seem that the piston engine is crapphy, it is not. I have a website for you also, if I can find it, that "Rotaries" were used long before the piston.

http://www.mazdarotary.net/porting.htm (just something cool to look at, look at the PPort at the bottom!!)

http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com/RE1...4-ports101.html (I still have yet to read this, explains the 4 port alot)

Good luck.

I tested the links before I posted them, and both worked for me. I just tried them again, and they went through still...

Go to mazdausa.com, and go to the Performance Corner. You can get to both articles from there...

Again, good luck. And no problem.
