i have a 1995 sc300, 5 speed manual, its stock, good clutch, newer tires, thats about it, nothing special. my friend has a 2002 rsx type S, with an air intake and heatsheild that he claims gave him 17 horses at the wheels, which i think is BS personaly. well he thinks that his car will put many car lengths on mine, and frankly i dont think he can even beat me in a race, am i wrong, is his car faster than mine? i know people post **** like this all the time, but i am just not sure about this one. I am a better driver for sure, but given equally good drivers, who would win?
thanks guys and gals
Hamid

amazingly enough, a AEM cold air intake will add 22hp at the wheels, prooven on dyno from sports compact. run him and find out...doesnt hurt to lose if you do

It only works like that on high end cars. You won't get but 6 or so extra horsepower from a typical rice-mobile, but an RX-7 does some crazy **** with that Rotary; plus its no piece of rice. The more pistons the hotter you run; especially large pistions in the Rotary. Every 10 degrees down is such and such horsepower extra (which is why in a V-8 on a cold, dry day you'll get great liftoff).

The rest of the thread goes on for pages just making fun of this guy.
