Actually I read and I wish I remember what mag. it was in but Mazda is going to spread the Rotary around in the near future. Perhaps even coming out with the RX-3 again. Ill try to find the issue. and yes it is from a reputable magazine.

an optional engine?...so they'd have them with piston and rotary engines...wouldn't they have to change the engine mounts and everything?

thats what the miata needs! btw they have done this before, the r100/rx2/3 were all also available as boigers

I hope they put the renesis in it, so that it atleast has a very good base amount of power.

someone with money (ie. not me) should get a renensis and a new miata and do the swap. make it look stock and run well and dependably, then sell mazda on the idea

bradndondrecksage, wouldnt ford and chevy have to do this to offer both V6 and V8 engines in their cars???
