Ok so my g/f is set on buying me a book about rotaries from amazon.com...

Anyway I dont know which one to get i dont want to read the same old story about wankel and his dream sequence im interested in something with performance in mind or more detailed info on the motor rather then the car etc.

How about: Mazda RX-7 Performance Handbook. It covers the entire car, not just the rotary engine. I believe the link is: http://www.speednation.com

I am almost through it & it is fantastic. It does however, briefly cover the history of the rotary engines (which will give you a little of that "wankel & his dream stuff"). It is s a good book though.

agree with kathy, the new one with the rx-8 on the cover,,,,,,,, i belive the book is called the history of the mazda rx-8 or something along them lines,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the book covers all gens of rota cars and race cars and performance articles aswell. i started to read it down at mazda tech school but that book is big lol would take me a week to read it.

Kevin, this exact book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/190478803...5Fencoding=UTF8

Great book, has history from the first rotaries, all the way up to the 2002. Goes into huge detail on FB,FC, and FD's. Very very good book, I am not even done with it yet. It has concept drawings for everything. Worth all the money.

is there a book that has a lot of technical stuff in it? whether it be engine or anything else.
