You're talking about rice, not about a drag car.

Why do you guys even reply to them? They are just kids who have no dicks, or lives. They are little fat boys who have no friends, so they try to gain gratification by ******* with people.
Smartest man shuts up first.
All you guys are doing is giving these fucksticks EXACTLY what they want. An argument.
Hell, they are prolly frequents at the "other" forum. I'd guess 2000+ posts...

no friends..........how come you sad yankees are on the internet till 4:30 in the morning, thats bloody sad. Rotary people obviously have no life unlike the socially active V8 people.[/quote]
Um, depending on what time zone you're in, if you set your time zone to the correct time you have.. etc.... so no, not everyone is on here that late, please *****, stfu.
Ahh.... I'm done.

this kind of **** is only alright if it stays in this section. i think that it is trivial, and you guys are wasting your finger ticks. but whatever, it is still somewhat funnie. let's not start any **** in the gen. specific sections or the like. if you all recall, these types of threads led to the demise of the other forum, and general displeasure of the OTHER forum members who were trying to contribute.
ive been guilty too.... :evil1:

dude this is stupid... its like arguing if a v6 is better than a 4cylinder. yeah if you put a rotary in mustang it would suck. they weigt alot and rotaries have no torque. but you put a v8 in an rx-7 and you mess up the weight distribution and te whole purpose of the rotary in th first place... light weight small design and max power... and its too bad that any mustang short of a cobra wont beat a stock fd. you want a v8 that bad? put one in civic... you can have some american rice

I'm really new to the rotary scene, but have been around v-8s for over 40 years. I also work on marine diesel engines of up to 5000hp for a living. V-8s put out nice hp, but are very inefficent for their size in that the piston/rod assemble spend most of their time in the nonpower phase of their cycle and very little time in a power cycle.(1/4th of the time)
The rotary engine on the other hand are always in a power cycle on one face of each rotor, pound for pound there is nothing like them for power. (except jet and gas turbine engines, but they are impractical for cars as of this date.) They do have their problems like heat, oil consumtion, apex seals, water seals, but even with these little problems they last well into 200+k miles if treated right.
I've owned a 500+hp Corvette, 325hp Rancharo, 425+hp Chev impala, built MGs, etc, etc. and V-8s have there place, they sound nice and look nice, but the rotary is the cutting edge of engine technology. There is a reason you don't see them at Indy or Nascar, rotaries like high RPMs, V-8 don't. Rotary engines will out perform V-8s at high RPMs, V-8s on the other hand have great torque at low rpm where the rotary engine does not(usually, but supercharging helps.)
V-8s are heavy and cars with them do not usually corner very well. Where as rotary engines are light and most cars(RX7s) corner very well. Each engine has its place, but if you are looking to the future(and not the past), the rotary is the engine to have in your car(Pray they make the turbo RX8!)
