It's more than "some gum pain" it still hurts sometime to this day...people dont generally complain about their tats hurting a year later..

Yeah, I'll do that before I get anything done.
Verily, you would be foolish to act before taking advantage of the wealth of medical information available here!

I have never heard of mislined teeth causing gum disease, but then i am not a dentist. I'd definetely get a second opinion before I had my jaw broken voluntarily. The one time I thought I should have gotten a second opinion and didn't I sorely regretted it later. Personally, I'm not so sure I wouldn't get the gums fixed and let it play out, plan on getting false teeth at an early age, but I am not in your shoes so i dunno. My cousin had work done on her jaw as she was born with an issue, what was supposed to be one surgury turned into 4 on the jaw and a trip to plastic surgeon cause they fucked up her upper lip.

I don't have a gum disease, they're just worn down real low on 2 teeth, because those 2 teeth protrude from the lower row. As evidenced by the fact that the gums on the teeth next to those aren't worn down much at all (as a gum disease would spread, according to the dentist).
I've got another ortho consult lined up for May, but I'm trying to get the gums fixed as soon as possible, as that needs to be done either way.

I think I heard that they can take some skin off your butt and graft it onto your gums. Hmmm. Dunno. Maybe I've got that wrong?

They take it off the roof of your mouth so I dont think you have to worry about that too much....the hair.
Gum receiding is caused by aggressive brushing among other things so you can have perfectly clean/white teeth. If it's not treated the nerve endings of your teeth will all start to show (which hurts like a bitch) than your teeth will fall out (ref: Deliverance).

They told me 10 years ago that my gums were reseeding and that I would have to have implants of some sort if I didn't start flossing. I bought a Sonicare tooth brush and I floss a couple times a week, within a year they said my gums were perfect. Of course you have slightly different issue, but we drifted a bit so i figured i would pipe up about the sonicare!
