so at the shop across the street from me they have this wheel in the window, among others.

For whatever reason, I like them for my vert.

Only thing is the offset aint the greatest.

good points: 2 inch lip for the fronts, 3" for the rear. Price- they are not that much money.

bad things- offset

Im all for getting wider fenders and coilovers, that dont bother me, im just wondering how they will "fit" and drive?

what you guys think?

fronts I can get 18x8 in either 20 or 40 offset

rear I can get 18x9.5 in 20 or 35 offset.

they look much better in person, the lips are stainless steel

how much do these thing weigh.. larger and heavier wheels will make your drive feel just that..

unless your vert puts down good power... you dont need that much of a footprint..

those wheels looks nice btw.. simple five spoke with lip..

wrong section.. moderator status doesnt make you exempt..

Getting 18" rims on an FC is not easy, the offsets have to be right on and you will need to run some negative front camber to get them to tuck inside the fender. Unless your going wide body then never mid.

IMHO its not worth the "bling" factor. 17" Rims look perfect on FC's and they do not pose any of the problems 18" rims do.

I bought a 90TII from a guy that had 18" rims on it, Mazdadrifter had to have those 18" rims and once he had them he was not happy they were more hassle than they were worth and too heavy. They were Volks too.

they dont make that rim in 17", I have been looking for the last 2 months for rims- I dont like any of them.

The rim I pictured is actually MUCH better looking in person.

now im looking at Forgelines that are also 18"

this is the package that is being sold:

fronts: 18x8 +30 with 245/35/18

rear 18x9 +42, 275/35/18 tire

Im already considering wider front fenders, but honestly I am split 50/50 with wanting them or not. There is a local place by me that makes and sells them so I wont pay alot for them, and if I really dont like them I can always put them on my coupe which needs a fender anyhow because old bodywork is bubbling since I bought the car.

I really do not want to hack my 1/4 panels, but again im considering stretching them to make the car look more aggressive.

hey.

rob.

18x8 +20 225? 235 probably.

18x9.5 +20 whatever you want. a x10 +24 will fit a 275 so you should be good back there.

stock fenders

all day

every day.

you shouldnt have any fitment problems unless you try to run like a 295 up front.

i ran 18x7.5 +19 up front with a 215/35 and had room to spare. i just wouldnt want to push much over a 235 on an 8, gets a little buldgy.

wide fenders and wheel sizes kinda depend on what tire sizes youre looking to get into. so whatre you looking at?
