One of my friend back home posted this last night, I thought it was funny enough to share.

So I was on my way home from my probability test last night and just as I was coming up on my turn I was also coming up on a riced out integra that is often parked in the Sterling Apts parking lot. anyways, as I was coming up behind him, he decides to floor it and he starts to zip away right up until his hood came off, smacked his windshield and then broke off one side of the bracket and was being drug by the other off the side of the car, though I didn't really feel up for watching this go down as I was turning into the apartments, I saw him pull over and get out of his car. I wonder what he did...

Yeah, so he's not an english major, I know.

He probably blew the weld off his intake.

I actually saw that happen to an ITS RX-7 at an open track day. They forgot to put their hood pins back in. The hood came up at 100 MPH caved in the roof and broke the windshield.

Funny story - Thanks

. But that is probably one of my biggest fears when driving. Imagine your hood pops up and you won't see the road or anything in ur car's way especially when going fast.

When I was a younger lad, I was being transferred from Nuclear Power School in Orlando Fla, to Nuclear Power Prototype in Upstate NY. I was driving the "Road Toad" a claped out 67 VW Bug. In an earlier life the car had suffered a front end collosion and been badly repaired., requiring the front hood to be bungeed closed. I pulled off I-95 in VA. to get gas, pulled back on the Interstate and you guessed it. I had forgotten to bungee the hood shut. Hood came open smashed the winshield to shards. I got stopped safely and had to take out the back glass and wear

my motorcycle helmet all the way to NY.
