I rarely post on this forum or on the craptacular one... but here goes.
Have you guys ever sold a car, and regret doing so? I had a semi-decent FB that I ended up selling to a friend of a friend... it wasn't like I drove the car in over a year. Infact she sat on the back lot of the local Mazda dealership for ages. I still miss the car and though I can understand why... it's been a few months. Maybe it's taken this long to sink in? Or maybe I miss being heard from 3-4 blocks away pulling out from a stop sign... |
Every time I sold a rote I regretted it later https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif

Isn't it funny how that works? Try explaining it to your wife or girlfriend and they never understand. I had a '67 Mustang I sold and to this day regret it.
In a perfect world I could keep every car I acquire. Wouldn't that be nice. I have Sold 2 FB's in the past and miss them too. One I traded in because I was 20 and my insurance and car payments were killing me. In 1987 I was paying $2400 a year to insure that car. The other FB I sold when my son was born I just could not afford it anymore plus we used to money to pay the doctor bills. 2 years ago I sold my 90GTU to a kid in my subdivision so I could get my TII. He still has it but it breaks my heart because it looks like ****. The car was black and was flawless now the pasanger door is all dented in and it is always filthy. Breaks my heart. I know all too well where your coming from. |
I usually wreck them before I sell them, so that brings on a whole new level of regret LOL
|
i am the prime example of selling a car then bitching about it all the time. j9fd3s can vouch for that
|
I regret selling my MX-6.
I guess I should regret selling my TII, since I heard the guy killed it already. |

May I join you? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif |
Well only one was my fault, the others were people plowing or running over me. The 83 some semi ran over it while the wife was stopped at a stop sign.
So yea laugh away LOL |
damn the kid killed the TII already?
|
Yeah, apparently it's sitting in the Wal Mart parking lot in the kid's town. I didn't see it the other day when I was out there, but I'll look next time. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

So yea laugh away LOL My 67 Mustang sustained some unibody damage. I parted it out instead of getting it fixed. I regret that decision to this day. |

I miss my X/19, sold to a knobhead who pestered me at every event to buy it for months then wasted all the good gear by not competing in it and bitching to me about the harsh ride & peaky power every time he saw me..... And the immac one lady owner Rx5 I had. (YOU! Down the back! Stop laughing!) |
sometimes i regret selling my first fc, but the motor was dieing and my dad backed into it, and it was gold and a 4 lug.
usually when i sell a car i'm glad i get rid of it, there was the 80 with the targa top and imsa flares, the 73 mgb that was bent and rusty, the 84 gs with the ported 13b and dellorto that was unsmoggable and um in need fo stuf, the 68 mustang that was slower than a gold 86 base. lol, i usually regret buying the car |

I checked on her yesterday afternoon, it got me all worked up seeing her parked there, all dirty. When I went back in the evening she was gone. I saw her out on the road today. (Jeremy gave me a look. Almost like he was ashamed.) That kid deserves a Civic, or rather a Civic deserves him.
At least it still runs...I'm sure I'll hear the whole story sooner or later. |
