So if they changed the drinking age to 15, teen drinking wouldn't go up? Silly man.
You say it right here. This comparison is to say that legalizing something will increase the number doing it, is it not? What could you possibly have meant by this if you didn't mean that legalizing it would have more people doing it?

Bah... Just legallize it. Weed is the least of my worries... I don't smoke anymore... But I know people of all ages and circumstances that smoke... **** it. Smoke if you got it.

It certainly didn't mean that millions more people would pick up the habit. What it meant was that those already doing it would do it more. You're taking everything I say way out of proportion just to fuel an argument that you created in the first place. If you'll look at my second post in the thread, I didn't say anything about increased smoking at all, but you went off on it, so I went with you.

I know people that already do it that I doubt hold the capacity to even fathom doing it more...

But in some cases... I'm sure people would do it more... Some less... I drank less when I turned 21... For a while anyway..

OK, so it's bad because we are going to burn off a few people brain cells that are already roasting them... fine. But I say let's educate the ******* idiot children we are cranking out by the millions with the money we get from taxes.

The end result is A) We have a few people that don't think too fast on their feet and a further uneducated America or B) WE have a few people that don't think too fast on their feet and maybe we produce some productive members of society with the tax money they generate.

I drink more now that I'm over 21, and I'll drink more on a night I don't have to drive home. I'm obviously the outcast, what with a regard for some laws and whatnot.

Good argument.

Legalizing pot to subsidize college would be fan-*******-tastic! I'd get to keep all of my brain cells, get them stimulated at a discounted rate, and the competition would be smoking theirs away! DO IT!

I was already agreeing with you that it should be legalized, taxed, and the money should go for education, among other things. I wasn't kidding.

No argument there... I do the same... But when I finally turned 21, I slowed down... It wasn't fun for a while... This has no real relevance to the stated argument, I was just commenting.

If it's legallized, maybe we can crack down on drugs that are actually somewhat dangerous.
